After leading through 20 minutes on goals by Lasse Kukkonen and Mike Richards, and a scoreless 2nd period, the Flyers gave up their two-goal lead when Zach Parise and Andrew Greene scored in the third to tie it up. But 2:32 later, Scottie Upshall scored what turned out to be the game winner at 8:42 of the third.
