After going down 2-0 midway through regulation on goals by George Parros and Petteri Wirtanen, the Canucks came back with a pair of their own in the second and third periods when Nathan McIver and Daniel Sedin scored to tie it up and send it into overtime. In the extra frame, Wirtanen scored his second of the night with 1:36 left on the clock to give the Ducks the win.
Ilya Bryzgalov played the entire game for the Ducks and stopped 27 of the 29 shots for the win. Drew MacIntyre had 14 saves on 16 shots before being replaced by Curtis Sanford, who stopped 6 of 7 shots and got the loss.
